Twitter Boot Camp: Find Out What All The Fuss Is About
Posted on August 29, 2013
It’s 2013, and you still don’t know why everyone is talking about Twitter. There are hashtags in the corner of the screen during all your favorite TV shows, all the ads in your magazines say Tweet Us!, and even your coworkers are talking about what they saw on Twitter last night.
It’s time to get with the program and learn how Twitter can be useful for you in whatever way you need it to be—professional networking, finding motivation to get fit, or just to talk about the latest zombie movie.
You’re in luck. Ma’ayan Plaut, the social media coordinator at Oberlin College, has created a Twitter Bootcamp for people just like you. And, she’s convinced 20 people that have figured out why Twitter is awesome to share their wisdom with you. (I’ve collaborated with @jesskry to teach you how Twitter makes people more accessible on September 27.)
If you’ll commit to spending 10-15 minutes per day for the next month to “figure out this Twitter thing,” you’ll receive a daily email with a short lesson and an exercise. By the end of the month, you’ll understand how Twitter can play a valuable role in your life. And…you’ll finally know what it means when someone talks about a hashtag.
Sound cool? Sign up today. Bootcamp kicks off on Monday, September 2.
Note: Ma’ayan has assured me she’s doing this just to be kind to the people of the internet. She’s not going to try to sell you anything, and she’s not using your emails to sign you up for a bunch of lame newsletters. Just Twitter Bootcamp, just for September.
