A week ago today I was in Boston at the eduWeb Digital Summit. I got to meet some amazing online friends in person, catch up with old ones, and check out the amazing exhibitor lineup. My contribution to the conference was a presentation about social listening for content strategy and storytelling.
I’m slightly obsessed with this topic, and was excited to share it with the eduWeb community. They responded by voting the presentation Best of Track for the Content Strategy and Email Marketing Track. Woohoo! That means if you weren’t at the presentation, you’ll have a chance to see it when eduWeb offers it as a free webinar sometime in the next year. Using Social Listening To Uncover Content and Storytelling Opportunities
Session Description: Social listening allows you to constantly take the pulse of your community. Real-time data about their interests, questions, trending topics and demographic characteristics can give you the edge you need to ensure your content is relevant to your target audience. This session provides an introduction to social listening techniques for audience and content research (using both free and paid tools) and examples of how campuses are using the technique to inform their content.
